I play fretless bass for 18 years now and I wanted a very typical fretless sound. Two years ago, I asked Jon Shuker, an english "luthier" to make this. I chose anything (woods for fingerboard, body and neck, scale, gloss, neck through construction, pick ups, electronics and so on...).
The result is what I wanted : a very woody fretless with a big "growling" sound It sounds and looks perfect to me. More picture here : [link]

Oh, I've heard of Jon Shuker I like his single-cut basses. My fretless is an old Westone that me and my brother de-fretted, I'd love a real one
